In Dei nomine amen. The 24th day of February in the year of our Lord God 1563. I Thomas LEVESON of Wolverhampton [meldre] being whole in body and in perfect memory in mind do make my last will and testament in manner and form following; first and principally I bequeath my soul to Almighty God and to all the holy company in heaven and my body to be buried in the church of Wolverhampton.  ITEM; I bequeath to be dealt to the poor people in Penny Dole ten pounds.  ITEM; I bequeath six pounds thirteen shillings and four pence to make a dinner to my neighbours at my funeral.  ITEM; I bequeath to John Harding a ring and a black coat.  ITEM; I give to Nicholas Jordan [xxx xxx] a black coat six shillings and eight pence in money.  ITEM; I give to Thomas [Wightwick] of [Wightwick] a [heifer] and a black coat and six shillings and eight pence in money.  ITEM; I give to John Okeley my servant a weaning calf a coat six shillings and eight pence in money.  ITEM; to Richard Hinton a calf and a coat six shillings and eight pence in money and I give them too the bed that they be in amongst them.  ITEM; I give to Winter Davy and Milton the bed which they lie in. I give my maidens the beds which they lie in and all my linen yarn amongst them.  ITEM; I give to Margery my servant a [heifer] six shillings and eight pence in money and three sheep and a gown.  ITEM; to Alice my servant a [heifer]  and six shillings and eight pence in money and three sheep.  ITEM; I give to Joyce Sheldon two sheep and a calf six shillings and eight pence  in money.  ITEM; I give to William Harding three sheep.  ITEM; I give to Walter Attys six shillings and eight pence in money.  ITEM; I give to William Harding three sheep.  ITEM; I give to John Jorden three sheep and a black coat.  ITEM; I give to Winter my servant a black coat and six sheep.  ITEM; I give to Gosseling my servant three shillings and four pence in money.  ITEM; I give to Walter Pearse my servant a black coat.  ITEM; I give to Anne Mills a heifer.  ITEM; I give to William Parker three trees in Ashmore which be fallen.  ITEM; I give to Alice Wotton for divers considerations a heifer and three sheep.  ITEM; I give to Richard Forster a black cost.  ITEM; I give to Joyce Wightwick a heifer and three sheep his sister.  ITEM; I give to Sisseley my wife forty pounds in money.  ITEM; I give to Thomas Poultney a black gown a pot and a pan and my [stoned] horse a gold ring and the bed which I lie in wholly.  ITEM; I give to Anne Poultney his sister two kine.  ITEM; I give to Thomas Crowley my godson three shillings and four pence in money.  ITEM; I give to Edward Reynolds my years out in a lease one which I hold of Mr Lane and which that Michell Arrowsmith does occupy paying five shillings and four pence and three trees in Ashmores which be fallen there and six of my best sheep and a black coat.  ITEM; I give to my brother John LEVESON my whole farm which I hold of Mr Lane the lease one excepted to Edward Reynolds paying therefore three pounds towards my funeral and legacies and yearly to my executors ten pounds during my lease out.  ITEM; I give to my cousin Mr John WROTTESLEY a black gown and twenty shillings in money.  ITEM; I give to John Culwick a heifer and a black coat and I forgive him half the money which he owes me.  ITEM; I give to Shinton’s son my godson two sheep.  ITEM; I give to Mr Ridley’s daughter my chamblet gown guarded with velvet.  ITEM; to Edward Reynolds a black gown lined with white a nag I bought of Michell Arrowsmith and a velvet cap.  ITEM; I give to my cousin Mary LUSON a velvet bed.  ITEM; I give to Thomas LUSON my best cloak guarded with velvet and twenty shillings in money.  ITEM; I give to my brother John LEVESON forty shillings in money and a black gown and all the hanging in the place.  ITEM; I give to my cousin John LEVESON my second cloak lined with velvet.  ITEM; I give to my sister Margaret RIDLEY a gown guarded with velvet.  ITEM; I give to Alice Cowper a heifer and three sheep.  ITEM; I give to four poor men my black gowns Rauffe Nightingale old Browne, Milton and Huntpatch.  ITEM; I give to Henry Wightwick’s so my godson three shillings and four pence.  ITEM; I give to John Mason three shillings and four pence.  ITEM; I give to Robert Homman three shillings and four pence.  ITEM; I give to Owen Ridley my newest coat.  ITEM; to Anne POULTNEY my daughter forty shillings. The residue of my goods my debts paid I honestly brought home it is my mind that my executors upon their discretion shall give it to the poor people.  ITEM; I give to Thomas Reynolds my godson two sheep.  ITEM; I give to my sister Joyce LUSON a scarlet petticoat.  Also it is my mind that my brother John LUSON, my cousin John WROTTESLEY Edward Reynolds to be executors to see this my will performed – witnesses hereunto Richard Shelton, Hny Bayly and Henry Wightwink
