In the name of God Amen; I GEORGE WINCH citizen and farrier of London being in health of body and of sound mind and memory and understanding do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following; first I recommend my soul to God that gave it and my body I commit to the earth to be decently interred at the discretion of my executrix hereafter named.  And as for and concerning that temporal estate which it has pleased Almighty God to bless me withal I give devise and bequeath the same in the following manner; I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid and discharged.  ITEM; all the rest residue and remainder of my estate of what nature kind or quality so ever I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my loving wife HANNAH WINCH whom I hereby nominate constitute and appoint full and sole executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making null and void all former and other wills testaments deeds of gift by me at any time heretofore made declaring this to be and contain my last will and testament.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fourth day of October in the year of our Lord Christ one thousand seven hundred twenty and eight –  George Winch – signed sealed published and declared by the said George Winch the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto the word fourth being first interlined – […]
