In the name of God Amen; this present day being the four and twentieth day of June in the year of our Lord God after the computation of the Church of England one thousand six hundred fifty and three I GEORGE WYNCH of Luton in the county of Bedford yeoman being at this present time sick in body but yet in perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto Almighty God for the same, and knowing the weakness and frailty of all mortal flesh and that all creations must die and the hour of death being altogether uncertain do make this my testament and last will in manner and form following; that is to say, first and foremost I do bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God my heavenly father hoping and assuredly believing through the death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer to have free remission and forgiveness of all my sins and my body I commit to the earth from whence it came to be buried in Christian burial in the parish church of Luton at the discretion of my executrix hereafter named and for setting in order of such an estate as it has pleased the Lord to send me I do give will and bequeath in manner and form following; that is to say, I do give will and bequeath unto GEORGE WYNCH my eldest son and to his heirs forever all that my close of arable land and pasture ground called Blockes Hearne containing by estimation fourteen acres more of less lying and being in the parish of Luton in the County aforesaid and two pieces lying in Sewell Field the one by estimation two acres and the other piece by estimation one acre and two pieces of arable land lying in Bridge Field in the parish and county aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances to the said close called Blockes Hearne and pieces of arable land belonging or in any wise appertaining to the which said close and pieces of land was given to me the said George Wynch and to my heirs forever by THOMAS WYNCH my late father deceased the said George Wynch my eldest son paying out of the said close called Blockes Hearne and pieces of arable land lying in the fields aforesaid before by me given will and bequeathed unto George Wynch my eldest son unto THOMAS WYNCH my youngest son twenty pounds of lawful English money when the said Thomas Wynch my youngest son shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty years the said George Wynch my eldest son to enter upon the said close and pieces of arable land when he shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty years and not before that time.   ITEM; I do give will and bequeath unto the said Thomas Wynch my youngest son and to his heirs forever all that my messuage tenement or cottage and all other the houses edifices buildings yards orchards gardens backsides commons profits commodities and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining situate and being at the south end of Luton aforesaid and now in the tenure of Charles Goodyeare or of his assigns to enter upon the same when he the said Thomas Wynch my youngest son shall accomplish his full age of one and twenty years and not before that time.  ITEM; I do give will and bequeath unto the said Thomas Wynch my youngest son and to his heirs forever some pieces of arable land lying in Bridge Field in the Parish and County aforesaid with their and every their appurtenances containing by estimation four acres more or less and lately purchased by me George Wynch to me and to my heirs forever of one Thomas Creswell gent likewise to enter upon the same when the said Thomas Wynch my youngest son shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty years and not before that time; provided always notwithstanding that if either of my sons George or Thomas shall happen to decease this world and die before they shall accomplish their full age of one and twenty year his legacy with the appurtenances so dying I do give and bequeath unto the survivor of them then living and his heirs forever to enter upon the same at one and twenty years of age and not before and if both my sons shall happen to depart this world and die before they shall accomplish their full age of one and twenty years and having no issue that then I do give will and bequeath the said messuage tenement or cottage lands and premises with the appurtenances unto AUDREY WYNCH my now well beloved wife to hold the same and every part and parcel thereof for and during her natural life and after the decease of the said Audrey Wynch my wife I do give will and bequeath the said messuage tenement or cottage lands and premises before by me given willed and bequeathed with their and every of their appurtenances unto GEORGE CLARKE my Godson son of EDWARD CLARKE of Kindford in the parish of Laton aforesaid yeoman and to his heirs forever.  ITEM; I do give will and bequeath unto Thomas Wynch my youngest son forty pounds of lawful English money to be paid unto him when he shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty years by my executrix.  ITEM; my will and mind is that look what debts I owe of right or conscience to any person or persons whatsoever be well and truly paid by my executrix and all my debts being paid and legacies and funeral expenses discharged; all the rest of my moveable goods cattels chattels debts and credits unbequeathed I do give will and bequeath unto the said Audrye Wynch my now wife whom I have made my full executrix of this my last will and testament and the said Audrye Wynch to hold the said messuage tenement or cottage lands and premises with their and every their appurtenances to her own use for the bringing up of my two sons until they shall accomplish the full age of one and twenty years.  In witness whereof I have hereunto set to my hand and seal dated the day and year first above written.  Memorandum the words and pieces of arable land in the first sheet of paper and the words I do give will and bequeath and the words and to his heirs forever in the second sheet of paper was interlined before sealing – George Wynch – these being witnesses Francis Olney writer of this will, John Crossley (the mark of) William Groome as witnesses
